December 2008 - DK launched the original HealthCare PSI.com website and blog. She used her media background to add a different perspective to the national conversation about preventable medical injury and death. She imediately gained attention for using photographs to underscore the scope and severity of the patient safety crisis.
2009 – DK is asked to promote national patient safety causes and gains readership in the UK, Canada, Australia, India and Scotland.

July 2010 - DK and her husband began transitioning HealthCare PSI to a non-profit organization in the state of Missouri, and the search began for our Board of Directors passionate about patient care.
